2.    Plaque – It is a sticky substance which covers the teeth. It is composed of food derbies and bacteria. Plaque is usually found at tartar. Because of the rough surface of the tartar, plaque gets deposited on the tartar and going ahead it promotes the tooth decay and different kind of disease.

3.    Amalgam – It is a filling material. It is the most frequently used filing material. Some people call it as silver fillings. It contains mercury, tin, silver, zinc and copper.

4.    Sealants – These prevent the tooth decay. These are made up of resin material and found in the fissures of the back of the teeth in the bonded form. Sealants are particularly used in preventing the damage in the back of the teeth. Particularly the back of the teeth is venerable to many diseases and this particular thing protects teeth from those diseases. The back of the teeth always gets the plaque deposition and that deposition does the bulk of the damage. This damage starts as pits, fissures, indentations or from just small crack but develops in to serious problems.

5.    Anesthesia – This thing is used to give a pain free experience to the patient. Dental surgeries are generally very painful, so doctors use anesthesia to reduce the pain during the process. Novocain is usually used as a local anesthesia. But there are several other thing are there, which are also used as the anesthesia.

6.    Porcelain – Porcelain is a very hard ceramic material, which has a color just like that of the teeth. This is very durable also. It is used in filling up the teeth.

7.    Antibiotic – This drug is used to prevent the growth of bacteria. As the teeth is frequently attacked by the bacteria; so, dentist use antibiotic to prevent the growth of bacteria in teeth.

8.    Veneer – It is made up of porcelain or plastic facing. It perfectly binds with the tooth. It is now extensively used by the dentist to improve the look of the tooth or giving a better smile.

9.    Rubber Dam – It is a soft material like that of latex. It is used to prevent the teeth from the contamination from the oral fluids.

10. Implant – It is an artificial tooth made up of titanium. It is used to replace the damaged tooth.
